Steps to Great Reading Comprehension!
1- Read anything above the title.
2- Read the title. (make a prediction about what the selection will be about and activate any prior knowledge about the topic)
3- Skip over the passage and
Pre-read the questions.
(Highlight any words that you need to look for in the passage)
4- Read the selection (Sit back, relax, and enjoy!)
5- Cover up answer choices and reread the question. (
what it is asking before moving on)
6- Find / highlight the answer in the passage and carefully read answer choices.
7- Eliminate answers until you have the best answer left.
8- Mark your answer choice in your answer booklet than transfer to the bubble sheet
